He started his professional activities in 1980 at C. Greco Engenharia Estudos e Projetos Ltda, in the thermal and fluids area, and worked on a H2 burner project, a dedusting system for the fertilizer industry, and a control and interlock system for heat treatment furnaces.
From 1981, until 1987, as a researcher at the Thermal Engineering Group of the Mechanical Engineering Division of IPT - Technological Research Institute of the State of São Paulo, he worked on the Energy Conservation Program of CNP - National Petroleum Council , having participated in the preparation of energy conservation manuals for the glass, cellulose and paper, and metallurgical industries. In 1987 he was hired by Main Engenharia, as a full mechanical engineer, working on studies and projects for thermoelectric plants and air conditioning systems.
In 1989 he joined FICHTNER team as a full mechanical engineer, working on technical and economic feasibility studies for cogeneration plants with gas turbines and recovery boilers.
In 1990 he became a founding partner of FIGENER, where he has been involved in studies and projects for cogeneration installations, thermoelectric generation and cooling water systems and utilities in general for various industries, with great emphasis on the basic petrochemical inputs. He is responsible for the development of the FNESS software, a tool that is used to calculate the flow and pressure distribution in complex fluid flow networks.
