Aporte foresees improvements in the receipt and distribution of electricity and will guarantee uninterrupted production at the Triunfo Petrochemical Complex. FIGENER developed conceptual and basic studies and projects.
Braskem, the largest petrochemical company in the Americas and a world leader in the production of biopolymers, will invest R$ 45 million in its Basic Petrochemicals unit (Unib 2) in the Triunfo Petrochemical Complex (RS) with the objective of promoting improvements in the receipt and distribution of electricity.
The amounts will be used in two projects. The first will improve the high voltage electric power distribution system of the main substations of the operating units, while the second will modernize and optimize the load rejection system in the event of a possible drop in electricity supply by the local concessionaire, ensuring that production is not interrupted.
The announced investment also includes the installation of high-power transformers and panels, as well as the replacement of the power cables and high voltage distribution control.
FIGENER developed in this scope:
- the basic studies - load flow, short circuit, reliability and starting of large motors - for the definition of the new topology of the 230 kV, 34.5 kV and 13.8 kV electrical systems;
- the conceptual and basic design of the facilities, including definition of lay-outs, single-line diagrams, specifications and equipment data sheets;
- consulting for the specification of the new cargo rejection system;
- updating the protection and selectivity coordination study, with the development of parameterization files for the new relays;
- the update of the study of transient stability and cargo rejection, to define the adjustments for the new cargo islanding and rejection system.
We thank Braskem once again for the confidence in the services provided by FIGENER.
