UTE Cubatão will be a Petrobras cogeneration plant consisting of two turbogenerator units, one steam and the other gas, with a maximum generation capacity of 216 gross MW and with the capacity to supply up to 450 t / h of steam to the Presidente Refinery Bernardes de Cubatão (RPBC).
The electricity generated will be sufficient to supply RPBC and internal consumers, and also with a surplus that will be dispatched to the Interconnected System (SIN) through a 295 MVA substation and two 230 kV transmission lines interconnected to CTEEP ( Electricity Transmission Company (Paulista).
The FIGENER is developing the following studies:
- Complete coordination study of the protection of medium and high voltage systems, with the objective of ensuring the adequacy and selectivity of the electrical protections of the substation, of the 230 kV transmission lines, elevating and auxiliary transformers, and generators.
- Thermoelectric stability study, with the aim of suggesting measures to stabilize the system after serious occurrences in both the electrical and thermal systems. The study is based on the complete integrated modeling of the steam and electrical systems, including boilers, turbines, pressure reducing and steam relief stations, generators, substation and equivalent of the electrical network in the vicinity of TPP Cubatão.
